David Azoulay

Environmental Health Director, Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) 

David Azoulay directs the Center for International Environmental Law's Environmental Health program and manages its Geneva office. David is a French attorney who studied public international law in France and Spain before specializing in environmental law. David leads CIEL’s work on plastics and environmental health, to which he brings nearly two decades of legal and advocacy experience on toxics. David serves on the Steering Committee of IPEN, a network of over 800 NGOs dedicated to a toxic-free future.

Through collaborative partnerships, we support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities. Our work is divided into six main program areas – Wildlands Conservation, Oceans Conservation, Climate Change, Indigenous Rights, Transforming California, and Innovative Solutions.
