Stephanie Carnow

Director of Marketing and Communications, Wildlife Conservation Network

Stephanie's two biggest passions are telling stories and helping animals and she brings them together as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN). In her role at WCN, Stephanie leads the development and implementation of the organization's communications strategy and projects. WCN supports conservationists around the world by providing financial resources, tools, and services to a network of partners; Stephanie helps these partners strengthen their communications abilities and engage audiences in their work. Stephanie has spent her entire career in the nonprofit sector, prior to WCN she was a Communications Officer at The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Inspired by her experiences with wildlife Stephanie obtained an M.A. in geography, studying human-wildlife interactions in marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation.

Through collaborative partnerships, we support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities. Our work is divided into six main program areas – Wildlands Conservation, Oceans Conservation, Climate Change, Indigenous Rights, Transforming California, and Innovative Solutions.
