Supporting Consensus-building for Indigenous Leaders

Tribal leaders honor the Earth. Courtesy of Keri Pickett, Indigena, 2014.

Indigena supports community-initiated projects that translate and connect ancient wisdom with current ways of life to provide connective threads of consensus, healing, agreement, and vision for indigenous communities working to protect the Earth.

Indigena is a recently formed non-profit organization that provides support to indigenous communities, activists, and organizations that are working on the frontlines of climate change and within indigenous lands. Indigena’s expertise is in organizing cultural gatherings that raise awareness and build movements, in generating compelling media and messaging, and in fundraising for indigenous led initiatives. This organization elevates the visibility of indigenous peoples’ defense of their sacred homelands and their worldview in addressing climate solutions.
