Senior Vice President Programs & Policy, Humane Society International

Jeff Flocken is the Senior Vice President of Programs & Policy for the Humane Society International. Prior to this, Jeff worked as the North American Regional Director for the International Fund for Animal Welfare, and prior to that he worked for the US Government, where he focused on international species conservation policy, outreach, and global conservation grant programs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jaguar Conservation Fund, GRACE Gorilla Sanctuary and the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival Conservation Committee, as well as the Steering Committee for the IUCN Tapir Specialist Group. Jeff is also the co-founder of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders initiative and coauthor of the award-winning book “Wildlife Heroes.”

Through collaborative partnerships, we support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities. Our work is divided into six main program areas – Wildlands Conservation, Oceans Conservation, Climate Change, Indigenous Rights, Transforming California, and Innovative Solutions.
