Julia Jackson

Founder, Grounded

Julia Jackson is the founder of Grounded, which was established in August 2018 to identify scalable climate change solutions and bring them to the forefront of public awareness. The inaugural Grounded Summit, of which Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation is a partner, will take place on March 20 – 21, 2019 in Sonoma County, California and bring a diverse community of scientists, policymakers, investors and front-line organizations together to share transformative ideas and innovative solutions. As Julia says, “Grounded was founded with the mission to do something real and actionable to fundamentally shift the trajectory of climate change. It is the biggest problem we face and we must take radical action now because we did not make incremental change before.” For tickets, sponsorship opportunities and more information, visit grounded.org.

Through collaborative partnerships, we support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities. Our work is divided into six main program areas – Wildlands Conservation, Oceans Conservation, Climate Change, Indigenous Rights, Transforming California, and Innovative Solutions.
