Mark Hutchinson

WildArk Co-Founder

Mark Hutchinson has spent his entire life surrounded by the bush after an outdoors childhood growing up in Australia. He is a passionate advocate for the wilderness and converted conservationist. As an entrepreneur, his focus has been on ecotourism and training, with a common thread of reconnecting people to nature. Mark’s lifelong desire is to be part of the growing army of conservationists around the world and help support innovative solutions on how we protect, regenerate and sustainably enjoy our wild places.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, an MBA from INSEAD Business School, France and a Masters of Conservation Biology from Macquarie University. Mark tries to spend as much time in remote locations as possible, often with his family or on a surf board at home with his kids.

Through collaborative partnerships, we support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities. Our work is divided into six main program areas – Wildlands Conservation, Oceans Conservation, Climate Change, Indigenous Rights, Transforming California, and Innovative Solutions.
